Career marketer and legal software industry expert to set marketing strategy and oversee programs to drive revenue and growth

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. (August 27, 2020) – Wilson Allen, provider of software, services, and expertise that help law firms and professional services organizations enhance business performance, announced today that Matthew DeVoll is joining the company as Director of Marketing. In this capacity, DeVoll will be responsible for setting Wilson Allen’s marketing strategy and developing and implementing programs to drive revenue and profitable growth.

Many in the professional services industry will know DeVoll from his tenure at Intapp, where he was head of global partnerships. Previously, he was with Thomson Reuters Elite as general manager of the ProLaw business and, initially, as chief marketing officer for Elite. Before joining Intapp, he was co-founder and CEO of VerticaLive, a cloud-ERP technology business targeting independent software vendors and vertical market entrepreneurs. Early in his career, DeVoll worked in business-to-consumer marketing with global advertising agencies Grey, BBDO, and DMB&B, and led sales and marketing for Protection One (NYSE: POI) and PDQuick. At Wilson Allen, DeVoll will apply this strong foundation in marketing and his legal industry background to support the company’s business objectives.

“As Wilson Allen’s growth rate, product portfolio, and scope of consulting services continue to grow, we also continue to invest heavily in structuring our business to best meet our customers’ needs. But we also want to ensure that legal, accounting, and consulting services firms fully understand the value of our complete range of solutions,” says Norm Mullock, VP of strategy for Wilson Allen. “Matt is joining our team to help us connect even more effectively with the professional services firms we serve. He brings a unique knowledge of our business, relationships with many members of our team and our partners, and deep marketing expertise – making him the ideal person for this new role.”

Joining Wilson Allen allows DeVoll to capitalize on what he sees as a tremendous opportunity, both personally and professionally. “I’m motivated by Wilson’s team dynamics. I know that it’s a great group of people, and I’m looking forward to being co-workers with people who have been my colleagues and associates for many years,” DeVoll explains. “Plus, I think one of the most exciting areas for professional services firms going forward is in business development. Law firms are under enormous competitive pressure today. I think Wilson Allen is incredibly well-positioned in terms of talent, expertise, and strategic partnerships to help firms be smarter about the kind of business they pursue and how they go after it. I look forward to being part of that momentum.”

“Throughout Matt’s career, he’s demonstrated an ability to connect and engage people to understand their needs, motivations, and priorities. We’re very pleased he’s going to apply these values to our marketing function”, says Shishir Shetty, COO, Wilson Allen. “We believe this approach will help Wilson uphold its continued commitment to client success.”

DeVoll holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Santa Barbara. He is based in Pasadena, Calif., where he is actively involved in the community on the board of the Arroyos and Foothills Conservancy and as an advisor for Arlington Garden.
