COVID-19 Preparedness
March 16, 2020
As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread around the world, our number one priority is the health and safety of our clients, our partners, and our employees. Due to the global nature of our business, our Business Continuity Committee is assessing the situation daily and adapting our protocols to mitigate risks to each of these constituents.
Travel
We have issued a temporary travel ban to certain countries (China, Hong Kong, Japan, Iran, Singapore, South Korea, and Europe). Additionally, we are curtailing all non-essential travel. All Wilson Allen offices are closed, and our workforce will all be working remotely for the foreseeable future.
Engaging with our clients
We have instructed all employees to offer our clients and partners virtual meeting options instead of on-site meetings as a way of eliminating non-essential travel – even when local. Essential travel will continue when the client asks that our resources be on-site, and those resources are agreeable to travel. It is worth noting that under the current climate we are not requiring consultants to travel if they are uncomfortable in doing so.
Assuring continuity of service to our clients
A key priority for Wilson Allen is ensuring the seamless continuity of our clients’ business operations. Employees have always had the equipment and resources available to work remotely to avoid interruptions in our level of service and availability. Documentation is stored in the cloud with Microsoft, which operates among the best business continuity, security and high availability of solutions globally.
Provision of support and professional services
These services are typically provided offsite for all Wilson Allen-lead projects and ongoing support. Our support engineers and our solution engineers are all able to work from either our office locations or remotely.
Summary
We will continue to update our approach as information becomes available from the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control, and local authorities. Wilson Allen is committed to the health and well-being of our clients, partners, employees and the communities in which we live and work. We are also fully committed to assuring the continuity of the services our clients rely upon to run their firms.
Through these efforts, it will be business-as-usual so far as the company and our clients are concerned. But please let us know if you have any specific needs, questions, or concerns.
Our best wishes to you and your families and colleagues as we face these unprecedented times together.
Warmest regards,
Bruce Wilson
